February 8th 2024 Update
Hello Mariner’s Families:
We hope this message finds you well and filled with excitement for the upcoming baseball season. As we gear up for another fantastic year on the diamond, we wanted to provide you with some important information on what we are working on in the off season.
Registration: Registration for the 2024 Baseball Season will open February 17th (returning players only). Stay tuned for more info! Returning players (anyone who played with the Mariners in the 2023 season) can register February 17 to March 1. An email will be sent with a link to register. Registration opens to the public on March 2.
Schedule: We appreciate everyone’s enthusiasm for the upcoming baseball season and understand your eagerness to receive a practice schedule. However, we do not know teams or practice and game schedules until after registration closes and teams are selected. This allows us to factor in community requests and ensure we accommodate coaches’ preferences. The heart of our baseball program lies in our dedicated volunteer coaches, who generously contribute their time and expertise to guide our players. We are unable to finalize schedules until we know the availability of the coaches. Additionally, the number of teams we form is directly influenced by registration numbers. Rest assured, once registration closes and our coaching teams are established, we will work diligently to finalize and communicate the practice and game schedules. Each team will be communicated their schedule though their coaches.
AGM: our annual general meeting will be held in the Spring - stay tuned for dates!
Mariners Fundraiser: Date TBA. Plans are underway for another auction and dance to be held this spring. We will share more information when we have it. If you have items to donate, please contact Tina at tina.macdonald89@outlook.com.
Mariners Home Opener: Date TBA. We will be hosting another home opening weekend full of fun and exhibition games to set the tone for another incredible season of Mariners baseball. If you are interested in volunteering to help organize this event, please reach out to Melissa at bowesmcleod@gmail.com.
